“Dr. Michelle” specializes in working with clients looking for lasting relief from anxiety and depression. After 25 years of working as a traditional clinical psychologist, Dr. Michelle discovered Reiki, sound healing and mindfulness and began integrating them into her practice. She has found that integrating these modalities allow patients to bypass their thinking mind and tune into their subconscious to get at the root of the issues holding them back. These “root cause” issues are then worked through with traditional psychotherapy techniques correcting distorted thinking and improving coping and relationship skills for lasting healing.
Dr. Michelle completed her PhD in 2001 at Alliant International University specializing in Individual, Family and Child Clinical Psychology. She was nominated for Outstanding Dissertation. Her colorful career has included direct services, neuropsychological testing, crisis intervention, multidisciplinary team action, adjunct faculty at UCI, research assistant, grant recipient for Alzheimer’s Disease in Down Syndrome, Expert Witness in court hearings regarding dementia evaluation and ongoing forensic and neuropsychological assessments.
