  • Signs that you may need to consider therapy include; symptoms of depression and anxiety, acute stress reaction, inability to sleep, inability to focus, inability to feel good about anything. Any one of these type of behaviors could benefit from some type of psychotherapy.

  • I specialize in depression, anxiety, PTSD, change of life issues, acute grief, and stress reactions.

  • Traditionally counseling can be done by somebody at a Masters level however psychotherapy usually indicates that you are a PhD level psychologist. Counseling can also be done by a lot of different educational backgrounds and they’re not always PhD in clinical psychology.

  • Typical psychotherapy sessions last for 60 to 80 minutes on your initial consult and then 50 minutes on your follow-up consults.

  • Therapy sessions are best attended for usually weekly, or biweekly, and even monthly.

  • Cancellation policy is 24 hours however things come up in people’s lives and we are certainly flexible with those types of situations.

  • We have a fantastic office in Scottsdale Arizona but due to recent changes in the medical field we are equipped for telemedicine as well via zoom.

  • We do not accept insurance however if you see the psychiatrist, you can get a super bill from us and submit your insurance, for psychotherapy services you would have to check with your policy and see what it covers.

  • Yes, everything that is discussed in psychotherapy is confidential, my only requirement is that if you are a danger to yourself danger to others or gravely disabled that inpatient treatment is warranted if you cannot contract for safety on your own.

  • We offer several different healing modalities to help you transition through whatever you need. Each of the psychotherapy approaches utilized are specific to whatever it is that you are having difficulty with, and which modality would work best for you.
